Baseball Recap: Laker Takes a Loss

Laker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Imlay City Spartans.

Laker's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9-1. As for Imlay City, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-13-1.

Coming up, Laker will host Bad Axe at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Imlay City, they will head out to face off against Vassar at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vulcans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.22 runs per game on average), something the Spartans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
