Baseball Recap: Central Dauphin Triumphs

Central Dauphin got their first taste of in-conference action on Thursday and they started things off strong. They skirted past the Chambersburg Trojans 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rams have posted since May 2, 2024.

Alex Scaringi was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Scaringi was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI.

In other batting news, Connor Hevel was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

The victory got Central Dauphin back to even at 2-2. As for Chambersburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Central Dauphin will square off against Hempfield at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hempfield will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Central Dauphin surely won't give up without a fight. As for Chambersburg, they will challenge Shippensburg at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Chambersburg is facing Shippensburg at the right time seeing as Shippensburg is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
