Basketball Recap: Bartow Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Bartow entered their tilt with Auburndale on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Auburndale Bloodhounds by a score of 63-53. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Yellow Jackets also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Ja'Kylen Crossley continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 6 of 12 en route to 19 points and six boards. Messiah Borders was another key player, putting up eight points along with six assists and five steals.

Several Bloodhounds players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaden Lindsay, who posted 11 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. Lindsay has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was JOHAN DUNCAN, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 10 points and five boards.

Bartow's record now sits at 12-6. As for Auburndale, their loss dropped their record down to 12-5.

Bartow and Auburndale should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. Bartow will take on Winter Haven at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday up 355 places (117 vs. 472). Meanwhile, Auburndale (ranked 151st) will meet Vanguard (ranked 503rd) at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
