Softball Recap: Palo Verde Valley Yellow Jackets vs. Brawley Wildcats
Palo Verde Valley extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping their season record down to 8-12 in the process. They fell 8-3 to the Brawley Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-5 on Tuesday.
Arianna Lee made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
As for Brawley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-16. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 8 runs in those games.
On Brawley's side, Daniella Yescas spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on six hits. Yescas has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.
