Basketball Recap: Woodbury Takes a Loss

Woodbury and Thrive Charter squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Woodbury had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 77-24 loss at the hands of Thrive Charter. The match marked the Thundering Herd's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

The defeat snapped Woodbury's winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 11-14 record. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.4 points over those games. As for Thrive Charter, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Woodbury does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Thrive Charter, they will square off against Newark Tech on Saturday. Newark Tech will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Thrive Charter surely won't give up without a fight.
