With a playoff win on the line, Franklin rose to the challenge on Friday. They blew past Whitney 52-27. Franklin might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by 25 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Franklin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jovan Harper, who picked up 178 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 40 yards and one TD. Those 178 receiving yards gave Harper a new career-high. Another passer making a difference was Braylon Robinson, who threw for 340 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.6 yards per attempt.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 15 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Harper, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Franklin's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Deon Holston, Julian Riley, and Mason Towne, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Franklin pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 48.3 points over those games. As for Whitney, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
