            Softball Preview: Herscher Tigers vs. Reed-Custer Comets        
        
		
        
        
            For the second straight game, Herscher will face off against Reed-Custer. The Tigers will welcome the Comets  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Herscher is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9  runs per game  this season.
While Herscher's  victory against Reed-Custer wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers narrowly escaped with a  win as the  squad sidled past the Comets  3-2. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Comets recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive  victory against them.
 Anistin Hackley made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run over seven innings pitched. Hackley was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with one  home run and two  RBI. That  home run marked the first that  she has  launched this season.
 Hackley wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Keira Ahramovich, who  went 2-for-3 with one  run and one  double.  Pippa Dunnill also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  triple of the season.
 Reed-Custer has  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record  this season. As for Herscher, their win bumped their record up to 11-5.
