Volleyball Recap: Cruz Comes Up Short

Cruz and Lycee Francais de Chicago squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Cruz had to settle for second. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lycee Francais de Chicago. The Dragons just can't catch a break and have now endured 14 losses in a row.

The final score came out to 25-6, 25-4.

Cruz's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Lycee Francais de Chicago, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cruz will head out to challenge Victoria Soto at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lycee Francais de Chicago, they will venture away from home to square off against Foreman at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hornets will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Lycee Francais de Chicago surely won't give up without a fight.
