Soccer Recap: Nandua Takes a Loss

Nandua was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Middlesex Chargers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Middlesex this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in March.

Nandua's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Middlesex, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nandua will venture away from home to square off against Northampton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Middlesex, they will square off against Mathews at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Middlesex will be up against Mathews' rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.57 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
