Baseball Recap: Auburn Takes a Loss

Auburn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 4-1 to the Central Square Redhawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Redhawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-2 on Monday.

Michael Ambroggio made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one triple and one run. That triple was his first of the season.

Auburn's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Central Square, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Auburn is set to square off against their familiar foe East Syracuse-Minoa at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Central Square will take on rival Oswego at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
