Cary-Grove has gone 7-1 against McHenry recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Trojans will be playing at home against the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Cary-Grove fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Crystal Lake Central on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1. Cary-Grove haven't had much luck with Crystal Lake Central recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Cary-Grove's goal came courtesy of Avery Brown, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, McHenry has been on a difficult stretch since their win on March 31. They came up short against Huntley on Thursday, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, McHenry can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while Huntley are ranked 34th).

McHenry's loss dropped their record down to 1-4-3. As for Cary-Grove, they now have a losing record of 2-3-2.

Cary-Grove skirted past McHenry 2-1 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
