Frankfort came tearing into Monday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They had just enough and edged out the Centralia Panthers 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wildcats have posted since April 14th.

Frankfort pushed their record up to 15-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Centralia, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-8.

Looking ahead, Frankfort will take on Valley Heights at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Centralia will be paying especially close attention to the Wildcats' contest: after the Wildcats face off against Wabaunsee, they'll take on Centralia again on Monday.
