Softball Recap: East Union Takes Down Pisgah in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but East Union had no problem doing just that on Friday. Everything went their way against the Pisgah Dragons as they made off with a 12-1 victory. The Urchins are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 13 straight.

The team relied heavily on Lily Kate Johnson, who fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 2-for-2. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Marley Clayton, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

East Union pushed their record up to 30-3 with the win, which was their 21st straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Pisgah, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 26-10.

As of now, neither East Union nor the Dragons have any future games scheduled.
