Baseball Recap: Lockney Gets the Win

The Lockney Longhorns had just enough and edged out the Wellington Skyrockets 9-8 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Longhorns.

Dyllan Thiebaud was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over 6.2 innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Thiebaud wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Xavier Jimenez, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Lockney's record is now 7-4. As for Wellington, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Coming up, Lockney will be playing in front of their home fans against Memphis at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wellington, they will venture away from home to challenge Clarendon at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Clarendon will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Wellington surely won't give up without a fight.
