Softball Recap: Mandarin Comes Up Short

After flying high against Orange Park last Tuesday, Mandarin came back down to earth. The Mandarin Mustangs lost 11-0 to the Atlantic Coast Stingrays on Thursday. If the Mustangs were looking for revenge after losing 1-0 to them when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Mandarin saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryleigh Booth, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double. Booth is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stole at least one in each of the last five games she's played dating back to last season.

Mandarin's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Atlantic Coast, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.

Coincidentally, Mandarin and Atlantic Coast will both be playing Baldwin the next time they take the field. Mandarin will head out to face Baldwin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Atlantic Coast will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
