Manchester had lost three games at home, but after bumping their record up to 11-11 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lewis Cass Kings, sneaking past 3-2. That's more bragging rights for the Squires, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Molly Schannep spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
