Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sparta). They strolled past the Tri County Area Vikings with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 47-33. The victory was some much needed relief for the Spartans as it spelled an end to their 23-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Sparta's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-22. As for Tri County Area, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 14 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season.

Sparta will be taking part in a tournament against Grant at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tri County Area does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
