Volleyball Recap: Scottsburg Warriors vs. Jennings County Panthers
After flying high against North Harrison last Monday, Scottsburg came back down to earth. The Scottsburg Warriors lost 3-0 to the Jennings County Panthers on Thursday. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-19, 25-13.
Despite the loss, Scottsburg still got an impressive performance from Sophie Gricius, who had 12 digs.
Jennings County can attribute much of their success to Mallory Manowitz, who had 13 digs. Manowitz is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in the last three games she's played dating back to last season.
Scottsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 20-9. As for Jennings County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 20-6.
Scottsburg wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Brownstown Central on the 7th. As for Jennings County, they will face off against Jeffersonville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jeffersonville is coming into the game with five straight defeats at home, meaning Jennings County will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory.
