You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Dixie's strategy against Thornwell on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Dixie Hornets blew the Thornwell Saints out of the water with a 51-11 final score. The Hornets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 21 points or more this season.

Dixie got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaylia Turner out in front who posted 11 points and five steals. Kerrie O'Shields was another key player, putting up 14 points in addition to six boards and four steals.

Dixie is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record this season. As for Thornwell, they dropped their record down to 4-8 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Dixie will take on Whitmire at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dixie is facing Whitmire at the right time seeing as Whitmire is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Thornwell, they will head out on the road to challenge Calhoun Falls Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
