Volleyball Recap: South Fork Falls Short of Legacy in the Playoffs

South Fork and Legacy squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but South Fork had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Lions by a score of 3-2. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Avery Eldred paced South Fork's offense, picking up 16 kills. Eldred got some help from Layali Ibrahim and her 33 assists. Ibrahim also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kensington Schulte, each putting up four.

Legacy found their leader in sophomore Paisley Woods, who had 21 digs and seven assists.

South Fork moved to 20-7 with that defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak. As for Legacy, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 20-7.

South Fork does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Legacy, they will take on John Carroll Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
