Flag Football Recap: Portal Makes It Six in a Row at Home

Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers on Tuesday. Portal took down Lakeside 19-0. That's more bragging rights for Portal, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Portal pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 2.2 points on average over those games. As for Lakeside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-4.

Looking ahead, Portal will challenge Calvary Day at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Panthers 3.5, the Cavaliers 13) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Lakeside, they will welcome Statesboro at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
