Baseball Game Preview: Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes vs. Taos Tigers

The Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes will face off against the Taos Tigers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Wednesday, Pojoaque Valley didn't have quite enough to beat Los Alamos and fell 7-6. The defeat continues a trend for the Elks/Elkettes in their meetings with the Hilltoppers: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, Taos was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 7-3 to Moriarty.

Taos saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Tafoya, who went 2-for-3 with one run. Roman Quintana was another, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Taos' defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Pojoaque Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 6-16.
