Basketball Game Preview: Joseph City Wildcats vs. Fort Thomas Apaches

The Joseph City Wildcats will be playing at home against the Fort Thomas Apaches at 6:00 p.m. One thing working in Joseph City's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.

Last Tuesday, everything came up roses for Joseph City against Ash Fork as the team secured a 68-23 victory. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 20 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Eli James, who went 10 for 21 on his way to 22 points along with seven boards and three steals. He has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 16 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cort Miller, who posted eight points in addition to five assists and four steals.

Joseph City smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 12 consecutive games.

Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points per game. As for Joseph City, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.
