Football Game Preview: Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] vs. Alma Cardinals

Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] will venture away from home to take on the Alma Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] had taken Arapahoe down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] took a 20-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of Arapahoe. Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] was right on the edge of victory: they outscored Arapahoe in the fourth quarter 8-0.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Brody Diefenbaugh, who rushed for 31 yards and one TD, and also threw for 135 yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Alma challenged Dundy County-Stratton on Friday. The Cardinals were outmatched by the Tigers and fell 62-14. The Cardinals were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-6.

Although Alma took the loss, they still got scores from Eric Dicke and Zane Clark.

Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood]'s loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Alma, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
