Basketball Recap: Christian County Comes Up Short

Christian County lost against Daviess County back in January of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Christian County Colonels lost 53-28 to the Daviess County Panthers. The match marked the Colonels' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, Christian County still got an impressive performance from NeVaeh Day, who posted 11 points and six rebounds. Day has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. DEbony Anderson was another key player, putting up four points.

Christian County moved to 6-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Daviess County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.

Christian County won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Southwestern at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday. As for Daviess County, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Daviess County Panthers face off against the Cooper Jaguars at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday.
