Softball Recap: Napavine Takes a Loss

Napavine couldn't beat Northwest Christian School on Friday even though they stacked five runs on them in the third inning. The Tigers fell just short of the Crusaders by a score of 11-10. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 17-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2019.

Tarynn Dalebout made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Pancake, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Napavine has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-7-1 record this season. As for Northwest Christian School, their victory bumped their record up to 18-4.

Napavine has already played their next contest (against Kittitas), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Northwest Christian School, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 10-0 win against Coupeville on the 24th.
