Baseball Recap: Lake Placid Comes Up Short

Lake Placid lost against Sebring last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Dragons took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue Streaks. The Dragons' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Lake Placid saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Diesel Taylor, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Lake Placid's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Sebring, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Placid will host Discovery at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Dragons are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Sebring, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Central at 7:00 p.m. The Cobras will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Blue Streaks surely won't give up without a fight.
