Volleyball Recap: Union Mine Triumphs

Union Mine proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by three) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Mesa Verde Mavericks 3-2.

Union Mine was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 19-25, 25-27, 25-17, 15-12.

Union Mine has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-6 record this season. Mesa Verde's loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Looking ahead, Union Mine will take on El Dorado at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mesa Verde has already played their next match (against Vacaville Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
