Soccer Game Preview: Winona vs. John Marshall

The Winona Winhawks will head out to take on the John Marshall Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Winona lost 6-1 to Mankato East on Saturday.

Meanwhile, John Marshall fell victim to Osseo and their airtight defense on Saturday. They came up short against the Orioles, falling 7-0. John Marshall have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

John Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Winona, they now have a losing record of 0-1-1.

Winona was able to grind out a solid victory over John Marshall in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Winhawks since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
