Softball Recap: Chenango Valley Comes Up Short

Chenango Valley fell victim to Vestal and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Golden Bears by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Warriors' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Chenango Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caelyn Koch, who went 1-for-3 with one double. That double was Koch's first of the season.

Chenango Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Vestal, their win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chenango Valley will face off against Johnson City at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Vestal, they will square off against Maine-Endwell at 5:00 p.m. on May 1.
