Volleyball Recap: Vista Ridge Takes a Loss

Vista Ridge lost against Canon City back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wolves fell 2-0 to the Tigers. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Vista Ridge saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Toryn Dempsey had 15 digs and two aces. Dempsey has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Canon City to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sophie LeDoux, who had nine assists and seven digs.

Vista Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Canon City, their record is now 5-1.

Vista Ridge has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Mesa Ridge on the 6th. As for Canon City, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Palmer on the 6th.
