It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Viewmont had no problem doing just that on Friday. They put the hurt on the Clearfield Falcons with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Vikings, who have now won three matches in a row.

Carson Tovey paced Viewmont's offense, picking up 11 kills. Tovey got some help from Dallin Lether and his 32 assists. Sam Higginson controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Viewmont's win bumped their record up to 17-6. As for Clearfield, they moved to 16-13 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Viewmont has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Alta on the 9th. As for Clearfield, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Spanish Fork on the 9th.
