Baseball Game Preview: New Haven Shamrocks vs. St. Clair Bulldogs

New Haven is 0-9 against St. Clair since May of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Shamrocks will head out on the road to take on the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

New Haven took a seven-run loss the last time they faced off against Vienna, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Shamrocks won by a run and slipped past the Eagles 4-3. The win was familiar territory for the Shamrocks, who have now won three contests in a row.

Meanwhile, St. Clair owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. They skirted past Northwest 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

St. Clair saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bo Robbins, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

St. Clair's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for New Haven, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

New Haven might still be hurting after the 19-1 defeat they got from St. Clair when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Shamrocks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
