St. Thomas Aquinas put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 79-68 victory over the Cardinal Gibbons Chiefs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Raiders also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2024.

St. Thomas Aquinas' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Drake (DJ) Sandi led the charge by dropping a double-double with 25 points and ten rebounds. Sandi has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last ten times he's played. Another player making a difference was Clarence Westbrook Jr., who shot 40% from the field on his way to 27 points and six boards.

St. Thomas Aquinas smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in four consecutive matchups.

St. Thomas Aquinas' record now sits at 5-0. As for Cardinal Gibbons, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.
