Basketball Recap: Bethune Comes Up Short

Bethune lost against Idalia back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bethune Bobcats took a 36-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Idalia Wolves. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Loss or not, Bethune got some senior leadership from Mikall Inskeep and Ty Morris. Inskeep almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds, while Morris posted 13 points. That's the most boards Inskeep has posted since back in January of 2024.

Idalia found their leader in sophomore Kolby Morris, who put up 15 points and four steals. Morris has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Camden Wingfield, who earned six points and eight rebounds.

Bethune's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Idalia, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-9.

Bethune didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 60-47 loss against Lone Star on the 8th. As for Idalia, they have also already played their next contest, a 38-32 defeat against Burlington on the 7th.
