Volleyball Recap: Springfield Southeast Comes Up Short

Springfield Southeast was the 2-0 winner over Mt. Olive when they last played one another back in September of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Spartans took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats on Saturday. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Presly Werts paced Springfield Southeast's offense, picking up five kills. Werts got some help from Parker Maxey and her 13 assists. Werts was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Springfield Southeast's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Mt. Olive, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Springfield Southeast has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Ramsey on the 13th. As for Mt. Olive, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against South County on the 13th.
