Baseball Recap: ConVal Comes Up Short

ConVal was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 15-5 to the Souhegan Sabers. The Cougars were not able to make up for their defeat to the Sabers from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Grayson Yergeau was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.

ConVal's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Souhegan, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. ConVal is set to square off against their familiar foe Merrimack Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Souhegan will face off against rival Oyster River at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Sabers 1.8, the Bobcats 1.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
