DePaul College Prep hasn't had much luck against Regina Dominican recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Rams will host the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Wednesday.
DePaul College Prep will bounce into Wednesday's match after beating Saint Ignatius College Prep, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Rams blew past the Wolfpack 8-2 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rams.
Lauren Steele made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kylie Johnson, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Those two hits gave her a new career-high. Ella Foeller was another key player, earning two runs and two stolen bases.
Meanwhile, Regina Dominican entered their tilt with Woodlands Academy on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Wildcats an 18-0 shutout. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by seven runs or more this season.
Regina Dominican got a massive performance out of Izzie Christensen, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Quinn Christensen, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Regina Dominican kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 21 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Woodlands Academy only managed one hit.
DePaul College Prep's victory bumped their record up to 6-16. As for Regina Dominican, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
DePaul College Prep might still be hurting after the 11-1 loss they got from Regina Dominican when the teams last played back in April of 2022. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
