Volleyball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Calvary Day School

Calvary Day School waltzed into their contest on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against Varsity Opponent by a score of 2-0.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Calvary Day School was: they took both sets by at least 22 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-2, 25-3.

Calvary Day School got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Reagan Reece out in front who had nine aces and four assists. Those nine aces gave Reece a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Rachel Cooney, who had seven aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Calvary Day School was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 27 aces. They are 13-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

Calvary Day School's win bumped their record up to 13-8.

Coming up, Calvary Day School will face off against Wesleyan Christian Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Varsity Opponent, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against KIPP Columbus on the 26th.
