Basketball Recap: Bloomington Takes a Loss

Bloomington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by the MacArthur Generals and fell 71-32. While losing is never fun, the Purple Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 526th, while the Generals are ranked 87th).

Bloomington's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for MacArthur, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bloomington will welcome Manual at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for MacArthur, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Normal West at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. MacArthur knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Normal West likes a good challenge.
