Hoffman Estates can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Schaumburg Saxons 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Hawks have posted against the Saxons since May 17, 2021.

Tyler Dillon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Hoffman Estates saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luis Tobella, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run. Tobella also put up a hit, which was his first of the season.

Hoffman Estates' victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 5-14. As for Schaumburg, they dropped their record down to 7-11 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
