Basketball Recap: Balko Bison vs. Boise City Wildcats
The Balko Bison lost against the Boise City Wildcats two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Balko took a 55-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. While losing is never fun, Balko can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 221st, while the Wildcats are ranked 95th).
Despite the loss, Balko still got an impressive performance from Emelie Trentham, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds. That was a full 52.4% of Balko's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Aspen Freeman, who scored 11 points.
Balko's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Boise City, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.
Balko does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Boise City will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Eagles at 4:00 p.m.
