Basketball Recap: Apple Valley Falls Short Against Ranked Shakopee

On Friday, Apple Valley faced Shakopee in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Apple Valley Eagles took a 71-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Shakopee Sabers. The match marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Apple Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 19-3. As for Shakopee, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.
