Basketball Recap: Riverside Christian Wranglers vs. First Christian Lions
After soaring to 55 points the game before, Riverside Christian was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They took a blow against the First Christian Lions, falling 57-25. The Wranglers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Despite the loss, Riverside Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Michael Nygard shot 43% from the field en route to 12 points. Another player making a difference was Kyan Cooper, who posted six points and five boards.
This is the second loss in a row for Riverside Christian and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for First Christian, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-1.
