Maple Mountain had already won 19 in a row dating back to last season and they went ahead and made it 20 on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the American Fork Cavemen.

Maple Mountain walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-15, 25-17, 25-20.

Trey Thornton paced Maple Mountain's offense, picking up 14 kills. Thornton got some help from Taft Hillman and his 29 assists. Thornton was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Maple Mountain's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. As for American Fork, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Maple Mountain will welcome Varsity Opponent at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for American Fork, they will be taking part in a tournament against Mountain Ridge at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
