Baseball Preview: Eldred Yellowjackets vs. Tri-Valley Bears
The Eldred Yellowjackets will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against the Tri-Valley Bears at 4:15 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Monday, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Eldred had to settle for an 8-7 defeat against Chapel Field Christian. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Eldred in their matchups with Chapel Field Christian: they've now lost four in a row.
Josh Warming was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 14 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Warming has been consistent recently: he hasn't pitched less than six innings in three consecutive pitching appearances. Warming was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his seven plate appearances.
