Soccer Game Preview: St. Charles East vs. St. Charles North

St. Charles East is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Geneva a 2-0 shutout. Brooklyn Grossi had the honor of scoring the game-winner for St. Charles East.

Meanwhile, it may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but St. Charles North ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Batavia, sneaking past 2-1. St. Charles North haven't had any issues with Batavia recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

St. Charles North pushed their record up to 10-5-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those three contests. As for St. Charles East, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-6-2.
