Basketball Recap: Maud Takes a Loss

Maud was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 59-46 to the Stratford Bulldogs. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2022.

Stratford got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Karsen Nail out in front who posted seven points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Daxton Ross, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 12 points and six boards.

Maud's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Stratford, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Stonewall the next time they take the court. Stratford will head out to face Stonewall at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, while Maud will head out to face them at 8:00 p.m. on Monday.
