Calaveras has gone 10-0 against Summerville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Calaveras Red Hawks are taking a road trip to square off against the Summerville Bears at 7:15 p.m. Calaveras has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Calaveras took a loss when they played away from home last Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 66-33 victory over Riverbank. The Red Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 30 points or more this season.

Calaveras relied on the efforts of Cohen Curran, who went 6 for 9 on his way to 21 points and eight rebounds, and Logan Pedersen, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 16 points and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Koepp, who posted eight points.

Calaveras smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in three consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Summerville lost to Golden Valley at home by a 54-39 margin on Monday. The Bears have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

With the win, Calaveras broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-7. As for Summerville, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.

Calaveras was able to grind out a solid victory over Summerville in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, winning 48-39. The rematch might be a little tougher for Calaveras since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
