Volleyball Recap: Sharpstown Takes a Loss

Sharpstown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Westbury Huskies. The Apollos were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Huskies earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The final score came out to 29-27, 25-8, 29-27.

Sharpstown's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Westbury, their win bumped their record up to 7-12.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Sharpstown is set to challenge their familiar foe Galena Park at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Westbury will face off against rival Sterling at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
